The Austin Housing Authority’s Draft 2027 PHA Annual Plan and Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Plan is available here: https://bit.ly/2027-AHA-AdminPlan and here: https://bit.ly/2027-AHA-AnnualPlan. The plans include operational updates required by the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA), which revised federal requirements for income, assets, deductions, verification, and reexaminations in HUD-assisted housing. HUD requires full compliance with HOTMA for all certifications effective January 1, 2027.
The Austin Housing Authority will accept written comments on the Draft 2027 Annual Plan from Friday, September 18, 2026, through Monday, November 2, 2026. A public hearing will also be held at noon on September 30, 2026, at the AHA Central Office, 1124 S. IH-35, Austin, Texas 78704.
